The terms of using HomeRation — written to be readable, not to hide anything.
Using HomeRation
By using HomeRation, you agree to use it lawfully and in good faith. HomeRation is meal-planning software — it suggests recipes, generates grocery lists, and tracks your spending. It doesn't replace professional dietary or medical advice.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials safe. You must be at least 13 years old to have an account. Household members you add (kids, partners) are managed by you and don't need their own accounts.
Subscription + billing
- HomeRation costs $19.99/month with a 7-day free trial.
- You can cancel any time from account settings.
- Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period; no partial refunds for time already used.
- Billing is handled by Stripe.
Content + intellectual property
The technique library, generated recipes, and site design belong to HomeRation. Recipes you upload yourself belong to you — you grant HomeRation a limited license to use them to personalize your plans, and you can delete them at any time.
AI-generated content
HomeRation uses AI (Claude by Anthropic) to compose recipes. AI can occasionally produce mistakes. Always use your judgment when cooking, especially around allergies, cross-contamination, safe temperatures, and food safety. We provide allergy filters as a safeguard but they are not a substitute for reading ingredient lists carefully.
Prices + savings
Grocery prices shown in HomeRation are estimates based on our best available data (Instacart API, user-submitted receipts, and periodic seeding). Actual prices at your store may differ. Savings figures are informational, not guarantees.
Termination
We can suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service. You can close your account any time from settings and export your data first.
